Antari Deep Yellow UV Paint - 1 Gallon

The Antari DFX-VL1GL-DYL is a 1 Gallon container of Deep Yellow UV Fluorescent Paint. Special features include Fluorescent pigment, water-based solution, and are acrylic color balanced.

Antari DFX-VL1GL-DYL 1 Gallon Deep Yellow UV Paint Specifications:

Visible and Blacklight Applications:

• Most Powerful Luminescence available
• Daylight to blacklight super saturated pigmentation.
• Recommended 365nm UV "Blacklight" source.
• Recommended painting under UV Blacklight source and proper UV application techniques are used to ensure the creation and development of expected fluorescent visual effects

Surface Preparation:

• All surfaces to be painted must be entirely free of dust, dirt, oil, grease and other contaminants
• Properly prime the clean, dry surface with a "white" acrylic, water base primer and allow the primer to dry
• Always ensure adequate ventilation when painting
• Lower temperatures and higher humidity will lengthen the dry and cure times of primers and paints
• Note : If a "whiter" base coat is desired, paint over the primer coat with a Flat Latex White Paint or a Matte, White Acrylic

Application Conditions:

• Keep away from direct sunlight as the fluorescent pigments will fade in approximately three months or less, when exposed to sunlight
• Recommended application temperature should not be below 54 degrees F or above 86 Degrees F

Application:

• The DarkFX Fluorescent Pigments can be brushed, rolled, or sprayed onto any paintable, properly primed, interior surface
• High concentrations of color allow the DarkFX Fluorescent Pigments to be blended and diluted using distilled water
• Do not over diluting, over diluting will decrease adhesion
• Note : When spraying, use a properly-fitted, NIOSH approved respirator per the manufacturers instructions

Mixing and Tinting:

• Arcylic paints can be used to deepen or lighten the color as well as modify consistency. Always test modified paint under daylight and blacklight conditions before applying.

Dry Times:

• DarkFX UV Paints dry-to-touch is approximately 30 minutes at 70 degrees F and 50% relative humidity
• Recoat wait time should be approximately 1 hour at 70 degrees F and 50% RH
• Note: Lower temperature and/or higher humidity will lengthen the dry and cure times
• Higher temperatures and/or lower humidity will speed up the dry and cure times

Coverage:

• One Gallon/3.78 liters will cover approximately 250 to 300 square feet/23 to 27 square meters
• Approximately 1.5 mils dry film thickness per coat
• A Minimum of 3 mils dry film thickness is required for full color development and saturation
• Note: Fluorescent pigmented coatings are translucent and do not exhibit the same "hiding" characteristics as traditional paints

Clean Up:

• Clean brushes, rollers, tools, and all other equipment with soap and warm water immediately after use
• Do not reuse containers and properly dispose of empty containers

Handling & Storage:

• Close containers tightly when not in use
• Store paint in a cool, dry place, and keep away from direct sunlight
• Protect from freezing
• If paint becomes frozen, allow the paint to completely thaw and come to room temperature, then mix thoroughly before use

Disposal:

• Dispose of unused or unwanted products in accordance with local laws regulating water-based coatings

Healthy and Safety:

• Use in a well ventilated area
• Avoid contact with eyes
• Wash hand thoroughly with soap and warm water after use
• Do not take internally
• When spraying or sanding, use a properly-fitting NOISH approved respirator per the manufacturers instructions
• Warning! If you scrape, sand, or remove OLD paint, you may release lead dust. Lead is toxic.
• EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE

Skin Contact:

• Thoroughly wash with soap and warm water before the coating dries
• Individuals with sensitive skin may require gloves

Eye Contact:

• Rinse with clean water for 15 minutes, seek medical attention

Inhalation:

• To help prevent irritation, use only in well-ventilated areas
• If irritation occurs, move to fresh air, if irritation persists, seek medical attention

Ingestion:

• Do not induce vomiting, seek medical attention

• This product will perform as claimed if directions are followed
• Directions are as complete as possible, but cannot encompass all conditions, applications, techniques, and/or surfaces, which are beyond our control
• Warranty is limited to replacement or refund value of product actually used, if such product proves defective within two years of manufacture
